Ayşe Demirbağ Ünal is the founder of Demirbağ Law Office and continues her work as managing attorney and partner at UNAR Law Office in Istanbul. She provides legal advice and representation to local and foreign clients, primarily in foreigners and citizenship law, international investment processes, corporate and commercial law, real estate law, and enforcement and dispute resolution.

A significant part of her work involves managing the legal processes of foreign individuals and companies who wish to invest in Türkiye, establish a company, acquire real estate, obtain residency or become Turkish citizens. She follows these matters as a whole, covering not only the administrative application stage but also the legal structuring of the investment, the preparation of contracts, the review of real estate and corporate transactions, and the identification of potential legal risks.

Experience & Expertise

Attorney Ünal graduated from the Faculty of Law at Kadir Has University, where her graduation thesis addressed the role of the European Court of Human Rights in protecting the rights of refugees. During her studies she also took part in professional programs in fields such as capital markets law and information technology law.

Throughout her career she has worked on commercial disputes, contracts, risk management, litigation and enforcement proceedings, as well as administrative and regulatory procedures for international clients. At UNAR Law Office, she advises corporate clients on commercial, company, obligations and consumer law, and coordinates the drafting and negotiation of commercial contracts, litigation and enforcement proceedings, GDPR/KVKK compliance, and the management of legal risks arising from business operations.

She previously worked in structures active in international investment and citizenship, where she was involved in administrative procedures for foreign clients, banking and tax-related processes, and the legal coordination of investment activities in Türkiye.

Attorney Ünal completed the International Citizenship by Investment and Real Estate Consultancy program organized by Istanbul Ticaret University, and advises foreign investors on citizenship, residency, real estate and commercial activities in Türkiye.
